The 10HF delivers maximum level of humidity and requires little maintenance. Fresh water flows through the media pad when humidity drops below set point on the humidistat and the furnace is operating, then warm dry air passes over the media and the air is circulated throughout the home. Mineral deposits are carried away to a floor drain. Fiberglass housing w/ built-in damper. Floor drain is required. By-pass Dimension = 6\" Diameter.
